Western High Deserts
Fully Charged Live
Our Plan
All things being equal (assuming America does not fall into another civil war, or the world doesn’t catch on fire from human air pollution), Julia and I are planning to travel the Western High Deserts of the USA in winter.
Yes, winter!
Why?
Because these desert lands are magnificently beautiful when covered with snow. Oh, and we are traveling to Austin, Texas to attend the first-ever Fully Charged Live event hosted in the USA. I’ll let them explain who they are to you.

The origins of Fully Charged lay in the question, 'is it possible for humans to no longer need to burn things to live, to work and to travel?' An unachievable destination perhaps, but an important direction of travel as the world responds to air pollution and climate breakdown. Our recent Fully Charged survey shows that our audience want to live and work in buildings, and travel in vehicles that don’t cost the earth.

Fully Charged exists, therefore, to educate, encourage and explain to its viewers that a very high percentage of the energy that the global population demands can and should, come from 'clean' sources, like solar, wind and energy storage. In short, we would like the world to 'stop burning stuff'.
The Fully Charged Live event in Austin, Texas will consist of:
• Two-day, weekend show
• Indoor and outdoor exhibition
• Two Theaters with US relevant content
• 50 electrified vehicles on-site
• 50 exhibitors of clean energy & electric vehicle related technologies
• Classics Garage
• Concepts Garage
• Thousands of highly engaged consumers expected

Fully Charged is among the fastest-growing YouTube channels in the world, and with more than 35% of its 'watch time' in 2019 (US 29% and Canada 6.3%), North America is its largest and fastest-growing geography. With a combined population of 360 million, the potential for electric vehicles and clean energy in North America is vast.
Amazing, don’t you think?
And if this were not amazing enough, Julia and I will travel over 4,000 miles or 6,500 kilometers in our electric car to get there. We’ll visit seven of these United States of America. Hike in 15 National Parks or State Parks, and all of this will be achieved in a zero-emission vehicle.
And they said it couldn’t be done.
Well, they were wrong.
