Mount Diablo

Wildflowers

3/21/2015

Julia and I took a day off from her PhD studies and whatever it is that I do all day long to hike the magnificent Mount Diablo. This time of year is very special on the Devil’s Mountain as all the lovely wildflowers are in full bloom. We walked the Mount Diablo Grand Loop, among the purple lupines, the super bright yellow and orange Californian poppies, the delicate shooting stars, Indian paintbrush, and wild Californian fuchsia and geraniums. It was a lovely hike on a beautiful spring day.
