Canterbury Third Visit
Saying Goodbye

Here is a shot taken by Mary of us last week on Offa's
Dyke.
Not much happened today. My PC crashed, so I had to
replace it and install software on the new PC. I
spent the day building the new PC, catching up on email, and doing office work.
A bit boring considering all of the adventures I experienced last week.
Julia went out to spend time with her Dad, while David S. and Mary
graciously looked after me and then went out shopping and on to choir
practice.

Here is a shot taken by David S. of us at the start of
the Offa's Dyke walk.
Another very peaceful day working on my computer
and having lunch with David S. and Mary at a great old pub just outside of
Canterbury; Julia went walking with her Dad again.
Can you believe that Julia walked another 20 miles with her Dad in
addition to the 86 miles she walked on Offa's Dyke!
We had dinner with Julia's Dad and Jean again, and it was very
nice, too.

Here is a shot of Jean, Julia, John, and yours truly at
our last supper in Canterbury.
Julia got a rest from hiking today after walking 106
miles in 9 days. She really loves walking! We had dinner with Jean
and John at a nice Italian restaurant this evening. The most exciting thing
we did was pack our three trusty traveling bags with all our gear in
anticipation of Japan next week. The weather in Sapporo looks great for skiing; let's hope it is.
I will miss Canterbury, but I will miss everyone there
even more.
